In 2012, a group of researchers and adventurers, coordinated by the owner of the Pousada Vale dos Barões, discovered in Parahyba do Sul a 4 km stretch of footwear ordered by the Portuguese crown in a winding and difficult to access place. In the research carried out on the site, several findings were found, such as cutlery of the time, coins, porcelain, among other relics, all of which were sent to the museum of humanity; it was from this finding in the mountains that the idea of ​​setting up the Pousada came up. Visiting the site can be done, as long as guided and previously scheduled.

In addition to the extremely rich history from the heyday of the gold cycle, the city also keeps relics from the glorious time of the coffee cycle, known as Brazilian black gold. Recognized for its importance as a link between the capital and Minas Gerais and for having a rich soil for agriculture, coffee planting started in the region, quickly the planting spread through the farms and the coffee plantations made a fortune, creating the Barons do Café.

With so much interesting, it was difficult for us to stop contributing to this important part of the history of our city, state and country. It was with this intention that we set up Vale dos Barões. And why this name? Because we are located in the place where the empire and the city barons built a quarry that served for the most important pavements in the city where the Mayor's Barons (mayors), personally supervised the place.

We want to give future generations and our countrymen the cultural historical rescue that the city needs, through the past, to live the present, projecting the future. We understand that our guests can help spread the important and rich history of Paraíba. Valuing every moment, every bit of our history, adding to that of our ancestors, rescuing the past and transforming our moments together into enriching situations, surrounded by great affection and affection.
